GCSE IT> How computers are used in health
Computers can be used to store confidential patient information - this information can be password protected so it is kept confidential. Waiting lists can be kept on the computer so they are fair. Appointments can be timetabled to make more efficient use of doctor's time. Databases can be used to store vital information about medicines and treatments for quick and easy access of doctors and nurses. Computerised equipment is more effective and accurate.
