Reasons why transport has effected leisure:

Car ownership has rapidly increased so it is a lot easier for people go away for a day or longer.

More motorways speed up travelling and make it easier and faster to reach more destinations.

By-passes reduce hold-ups and make people's journeys more relaxing.

Air, coach and rail travel have also increased.

Air fares are now cheaper so people can afford to travel by air and airports have been built near popular holiday destinations.
