GCSE Food tech> Specific foods> Fats

No more than one third of our daily energy intake should come from fats. There are two main types of fat: Saturated and Polyunsaturated. Polyunsaturates are healthier as saturated fat can block up arteries and lead to heart disease.

Needed for energy, insulation and fat helps to protect our major organs.
